Manual for psimpoll and pscomb

Menu

Menu L: age-depth conversion

Menu Lc: basal age
The user is prompted for values for an estimated age and then estimated error for the basal sample of the sequence. No age is assumed for the basal sample, unless one is given here: the allowed range is 0 to 10,000,000, with an error between 0 and 20,000. If no value is given for the basal sample, ages calculated for samples below the lowermost age are obtained by extrapolation.

A value can still be entered here, and will be used, even if calibrated dates are being used (menu Lj). It will always be treated statistically as a normal distribution.

Return to menu L.
