The layout of a plotted page is discussed in
Technical matters. This
menu changes two aspects of the shape of the diagram: scale and
dimensions.
Scaling is used to adjust plots so that they can be stretched or
compressed by a desired amount (e.g. to fit a particular
number of pages).
The widths of columns for sediment units, zones,
radiocarbon ages, and sum values are not affected;
[Allowed range 0.1-10].
A value of 1 fills the page completely, and is therefore the maximum
allowed. Smaller values may be especially useful if the resulting
plot is going to be combined with other data via pscomb.
[Allowed range 0.1-1].
Changes the length of the diagram, and then also changes the
height and font size to maintain the same proportions. I suggest using
240mm with A4 paper (the default), 339 mm with A3, 226 mm with US Letter,
and 287 mm with US Legal.
Paper height changes automatically, but can be over-ridden: see
Menu Ad. Use with caution;
[Allowed range 10-420].
Changes the height of the diagram, measured along the length of
the plotted curve, independently of the diagram length. Ordinarily,
height changes automatically when changes are made to paper width (see
Menu Ac), but this can be over-ridden here.
Suggested sizes are 127 mm for A4 (the default), 180 mm for A3 and 131 mm with
US Letter and US Legal, to allow room for labelling. Use with caution;
[Allowed range 10-297].
Allows change of paper size, currently between A4 paper (297x210mm), A3
(420x297mm), US Letter (279x216mm) and US Legal (356x216). Following selection
of a size, diagram width and diagram height are given default values. These
can then be overridden in Menu Ac and Menu Ad respectively;
Scrolls between `A4', 'A3', `Letter' and `Legal'.
